We offer seniors and their families a “one stop” place for both fun and information. Our many program offerings provide opportunities for enjoying lifelong interests and exploring new ones. We have an extensive travel program with fully escorted trips, from one-day jaunts to overseas dream vacations. The computer groups, card games, exercises, and painting classes have devoted followers and always welcome new members. Special events such as the popular Women’s Retreat, Lock-In, and annual Mackinac Bridge Walk bring together a diverse group willing to share new and exciting challenges.

The Chelsea Senior Center is also prepared to help families in need. We work closely with folks who need direction, services, and information to make informed decisions and choices when seniors need assistance. Timely programs of interest to seniors and their families on legal, financial, and medical issues are presented throughout the year. We offer Friendly Visiting, a free shopping service, and telephone reassurance calls to isolated seniors.

The Taste of Home Café provides home-style, well-balanced noon meals where seniors enjoy lunch for just $2.50 in a pleasant atmosphere with friends and family. This is the perfect place for people to get together without the hassle of shopping and cooking.
